Etymology: In reference to Anoual, the type locality near the city of Anoual in Morocco, and Greek, erpeton, "creeping (creature)," now used for amphibians and reptiles.

Species: unicus GARDNER, EVANS & SIGOGNEAU-RUSSELL, 2003
Etymology: Latin, unicus, "alone or solitary," referring to this being the only known albanerpetontid species from Gondwana.

Locality: Anoual microvertebrate locality, about 100 km east of the city of Anoual and near a fort called Ksar Met Lili, Talsinnt Province, eastern High Atlas Mountains, Morocco.

Biostratigraphy: Unnamed non-marine limestone lens.

Age: Probably Berriasian Stage, Lower Neocomian Subepoch, Lowermost Early Cretaceous Epoch, Early Cretaceous.

Material: Right premaxilla missing most of pars palatinum an dlateral most part of pars dentals, with preserved tooth row containing 3 broken teeth and 5 tooth slots.

Biostratigraphy: Oppelia aspidioides Zone.

Age: Upper Bathonian Stage, upper middle Dogger Epoch, Middle Jurassic.

Material: Incomplete left premaxilla lacking dorsal end of pars dorsalis, lateral end of pars dentalis, and most of pars palatinum, with preserved tooth row containing 9 broken tooth bases and empty tooth slots, one of which preserves an insitu replacement crown.
