Genus: Hungarobatrachus SZENTESI & VENCZEL, 2010
Etymology: In reference to Hungary, the country of orign and Greek, batrachos, "frog."

Species: szukacsi SZENTESI & VENCZEL, 2010
Etymology: In honor of Sandor Szukacs, classmate and friend of the first author.

Holotype: MTM V2008.16.1

Locality: SZAL-6 site at the Iharkut open-pit bauxite mine, Bakony Hills, Western Hungary.

Horizon: Csehbanya Formation.

Biostartigraphy:

Age: Santonian Stage, Lower Senonian Subepoch, Lower Gulf Epoch, Late Cretaceous.

Material: Incomplete right ilium missing the dorsolateral part of the dorsal protuberance, the anterior portion of the iliac shaft adn the anterodorsla part of the iliac crest.
