Locality: Fengshan, Hebei Province, China.

Horizon: Zhangjiakou Formation.

Biostratigraphy:

Age: Tithonian Stage, Upper Malm Epoch, Late Jurassic.

Material: An articulated skeleton including cranium and postcranium.

Referred material:

GMV 1607-1610: A large number of exquisietly preserved and fully metamorphosed salamandes.

GMV 1603 (part and counterpart), 1602: Juvenile specimens with impressions of external gills.

Unnumbered: Numerous topotypic specimens.
