Genus: Yaksha DAZA, STANLEY, BOLET, BAUER, ARIAS, ČERŇANSKÝ, BEVITT, WAGNER & EVANS, 2020
Etymology: In reference to the Yaksha, a type of mythical spirit in Eastern belief systems, guardian of natural treasures hidden in the earth or tree roots.

Etymology: In honor of Adolf Peretti, director of the Peretti Museum Foundation and GemResearch Swisslab (GRS), who disovered teh fossil and his conducted fieldwork and humanitarian projects in Myanmar for the past 10 years.

Holotype: GRS-Ref-060829

Locality: Hukaung Valley, near Tanaing Township , Myitkyina District, Kachin Province, Myanmar.

Age: Cenomanian Stage, Upper Gallic subepoch, Lowest Gulf Epoch, Late Early to Early Middle Cretaceous.

Material: A complete articulated head.

JZC Bu154: A juvenile specimen.
