Etymology:

Holotype: Field Museum of National History, UR 1038

Locality: 5 or 6 miles southwest of the town of Granfield, about 3 miles north of the Red River, on land belonging to Mr. Floyd Lawson of Granfield, SW 1/4, SE 1/4, SE 1/4, sec. 20, T 4S, R1 5E, southern Tilmman County, Oklahoma.

Horizon: Hennessey Formation, (Arroyo equivalent), Low Clear Fork Group.

Biostratigraphy:

Age: Leonardian Stage, Lower Rotliegendes Epoch, Early Permian.

Material: Skull.
