Genus: Eomurruna HAMLEY, CISNEROS & DAMIANI, 2020
Etymology: Greek, eos, “dawn”, and Bidyara language of Queensland, murruna, the name of the extant shingleback skink. The shingleback skink is a stocky lizard that resembles a procolophonid both in its dentition and its ovrall apperance.

Etymology: Bidyara language of Queensland, yurrga, "a hole in the ground" and the Latin suffix ensis, "of or belonging to (a place"; in reference to The Crater, the locality near Bluff in queensland Austalia, where most of thr specimens were collected.

Locality: 'Duckworth Creek' (QML 215), Colorado Station, south of Bluff, Queensland State, Australia.

Horizon: Arcadia Formation, Rewan Group.

Biostratigraphy:

Age: Griesbachian Stage, Upper Scythian Epoch, Late Early Triassic.

Material: An articulated skeleton missing most of the right limbs and tail.
