Holotype: MCZ 2984

Locality: Localty 10, Placerville area, 1/10 to 3/4 mile wide on both sides of the San Miguel River for 4 miles upstream and 4 miles downstream from the town of Placerville, San Miguel County, Colorado.

Horizon: Upper Cutler Formation, approximately 152 to 158 meters below the top of the Cutler Formation.

Biostratigraphy:

Age: Wolfcampian Stage, Lower Rotliegendes Epoch, Early Permian.

Material: Small jaw fragment, the tips of 2 teeth, 7 incomplete vertebrae, partial pelvic girdle, proximal and distal parts of a femur, the proximal part of an ulna and other fragments.

Referred material:

Locality: Locality 4, 72° and 772 meters east of Placervile,and approximately 1.9 km from locality 10, San Miguel County, Colorado.

Horizon: Upper Cutler Formation, approximately 24-27 meters below the top of the Cutler Formation.

Biostratigraphy:

Age: Wolfcampian Stage, Lower Rotliegendes Epoch, Early Permian.

Material:

MCZ 2979: Articulated 4 vertebrae.

 

VAUGHN, 1962

Locality: “Platyhystrix pocket”, Lime Creek Valley and near John's Canyon, NE 1/4, sec. 21. T. 41 S. R. 19E., San Juan County, Utah.

Horizon: Halgaito Shale, equivalent of Lower Cutler Formation.

Biostratigraphy:

Age: Virgilian, upper Stephanian, Upper Silesian Series, Gzelian Epoch, Late Pennsylvanian (Late Carboniferous).

Material:

UCLA VP 1626: Fragmentary left half of a neural arch.
