Species: pennsylvanicus COLBERT, 1960
Etymology: In reference to the state of Pennsylvania, where the specimen was found.

Holotype: North Museum No. 2321, AMNH 7601 cast.

Locality: Near Bowmansville, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania.

Horizon: Brunswick Formation, Newark Supergroup.

Biostratigraphy:

Age: Carnian Stage, Early Late Triassic Epoch, Late Triassic.

Material: Fragmentary skull and fragmentary skeleton.

Note: Possibly a Rhynchosaurinae (BAIRD, 1986)
