Etymology:In honor of Cristiano Dal Sasso, who promoted the preparation and study of the fossil while recognizing its uniquensis an importance in spite of the poor preservation.

Holotype: BES SC 390

Locality: Besano, Lombardy, Italy.

Horizon: Besano Formation.

Biostratigraphy:

Age: Anisian/Ladinian Stage, Mid Triassic Epoch, Middle Triassic.

Material: A disarticulated but associated skeleton.
