Etymology:
In honor of Zhenyu Li, who contributed greatly to the collection of the specimen from the field.
Holotype: IVPP V18578
Locality: Luoping County, Yunnan Province, China.
Horizon: Member II, Guanling Formation.
Biostratigraphy: Panxian-Luoping Fauna.
Age: Anisian Stage, Early Mid Triassic Epoch, Early Middle Triassic.
Material: Nearly complete skull and skeleton.
