Etymology: Tapejara – “The ancient being”, from the Tupian mythology, the main indigenous inhabitants of Brazil.

Species: wellnhoferi KELLNER, 1989
Etymology: In honor of Dr. Peter Wellnhofer, who has contributed very much to the study of pterosaurs.

Locality: Chapade do Araripe, Ceara State, Northeastern Brazil.

Horizon: Romualdo Member, Santana Formation, Araripe Group.

Biostratigraphy:

Age: Late Aptian or Early Albian Stage, Middle Gallic Subepoch, Upper Early Cretaceous Epoch, Early Cretaceous.

Material: Fragmentary skull of a juvenile.

MCT 1500-R: Skull missing tip of premaxillae, part of the middle portion of the skull, and most of the sagittal crest, and the anterior and posterior ends of the mandible and a perfect braincase.

Etymology: Latin, imperator, meaning emperor.

Horizon: Crato Member, basal unit of the Santana Formation, Araripe Group.

Age: Aptian-Albian Stage, Middle Gallic Subepoch, Upper Early Cretaceous Epoch, Early Cretaceous.

Material: Nearly complete skull with a large crest.

Note: Specimen shows a flap of skin on the front of the skull and has no crest extension behind the skull.
