Etymology: Latin, borealis, “northern”.

Locality: Zavarzhye locality, Malaya Severnaya Dvina River, Kotlasskii (Kotlas) District, Arkhangel’sk Province, North European Russia.

Horizon: Tatarian Series, Vyatkian Substage, Vyatkian Horizon, Vyatka Regional Stage.

Biostratigraphy: Sokolki Faunal Assemblage, Sokolki Faunal Substage.

Age: Upper Tatarian Age, Lopingian Subepoch, upper Zechstein Epoch, Late Permian.

Material: An almost complete, slightly deformed longitudinally, skull missing the part of the premaxilla, zygomatic arches, right quadrate and post dentary part of the lower jaw.
