Region, China, where the fossil was found.

Etymology: In reference to the old name of Sinkang Province, China.

Holotype: Field no. 600069
Locality: Northern foot of the Tienshan, east of Tihua (Urumtsi), Fuyuan, Xinjiang Uygur Zizhiqu (Sinkang) Province, China.
Horizon: Guodikeng (Xiaolongkou), Upper Jijicao Group.
Biostratigraphy: Dicynodon Assemblage zone (LUCAS, 2005).
Age: Tatarian Age, Lopingian Subepoch, Zechstein Epoch, Late Permian.
Material: Fragmentary skull and lower jaw.
