Etymology: In reference to the Shanxi Province, China, where the fossil was found, and Greek, odon, “tooth”: Shanxi tooth.

Etymology: In honor of Martin Vince, Argentine fossil hunter and Bonaparte’s preparator, a technician at the Fundacion-Instituto M. Lillo, Universidad Nacional de Tucuman.

Material: Skull and nearly complete skeleton.

Etymology:

Locality: Pei-pangting, Shihpi, Shansi (Shanxi) Province, China.

Horizon: Upper Er-Ma-Ying Formation.

Biostratigraphy:

Age: Late Early Triassic or Early Middle Triassic.

Material: A nearly complete skull.

Referred material:

IVPP V2416a: A damaged skull composed of only occipital and intertemporal region of a skull.

Horizon: Upper Er-Ma-Ying Formation.

IVPP V2417: Skull and posterior part of lower jaw with anterior part of lower jaw, proximal left ulna, distal left fibula and other broken bones.

IVPP V2417a: Fragmentary remains.
