Etymology: In honor of Martin Vince, Argentine fossil hunter and Bonaparte’s
preparator, a technician at the Fundacion-Instituto M. Lillo, Universidad Nacional
de Tucuman.

Etymology:
= Shansiodon andina (BONAPARTE, 1967)
Holotype: PVL 3831
Locality: Cerro Bayo de Poterillos, roughly 5 km east of Village Potrerillos, Lujan de Cuyo Department, Mendoza Province, Argentina.
Horizon: Lower Cerro Las Cabras Formation.
Biostratigraphy:
Age: Late Triassic.
Material: Skull and left ilium.
