Note: Galton & Carpetner (2016) argue that this name did not beet the requirements of the ICZN (199) for purposes of zoological nomenclature and regard this name as being a nomen nudum.

Holotype:

Locality: About 1 km south of Bodepalli village, about 30 km northeast of Bellampally (a coal mining town), Pranhita-Godavari Valley, Telangana State (old Andhra Pradesh State), South-central India.

Horizon: Lower Kota Formation.

Biostratigraphy:

Age: Sinemurian-Pliensbachian Stage, Middle Lias Epoch, Early Jurassic.

Material: Fragmentary skull and dentaries, teeth, caudal centra, fragmentary scapula, and osteoderms, cervical? caudal osteoderms.

Note: Either early thyreohoran or the earliest record of ankylosaur (Galton, 2019).
