Species: ultimus JIA, LI, DONG, SHI, KANG, WANG XU & YOU, 2024
Etymology: Latin, ultimus, "last", indicating tht this stegosaur might be the last of its lineage.

Holotype: SXMG V 006

Locality: Madaouto Township, Zuoyun County, Datong City, Shanxi Province, China.

Horizon: Lower part of the Zuoyun Formation.

Biostratigraphy:

Age: Albian Stage, Middle Gallic Subepoch, Late Early Cretaceous Epoch, Late Early Cretaceous.
