Etymology: Mandrin, bamin, in reference to the Fujian Province, and Latin, ornis, “bird”: Great-great-grandfather bird.

Species: zhenghensis CHEN, WANG, DONG, ZHOU, XU, DENG, XU, ZHANG, WANG, DU, LIN, LIN & ZHOU, 2025
Etymology: Mandrin, zhenghe, in reference to Zhenghe County, wehre the holotype specimen was discovered.

Holotype: IVPP V33259

Locality: Near Yangyuan Village, Zhenghe County, Nanping City, Fujian PRovince, China.

Horizon: Nanyuan Formation.

Biostratigraphy:

Age: Tithonian Stage, Late Malm Epoch, Late Jurassic.

Material: An incomplete partially articualted skeleton.
