Etymology: The genus name derives from Chinese pinyin, changzui, "long beak": referencing the long beak and Greek, ornis, 'bird'.

Etymology: The species name referes to Anhui Geological Museum (AHGM) where the holtype is housed.

Locality: Sihedang locality, Lingyuan City, wetern Liaoning Province, China.

Horizon: Jiufotang Formation, Upper Jehol Group.

Biostratigraphy:

Age: Aptian Stage, Lower Gallic Subepoch, Early Cretaceous Epoch, Late Early Cretaceous.

Material: A nearly-complete skull and skeleton with feather impressions.
