Etymology: Latin, edentulae, "without teeth": referring to the toothless rostrum that characterizes this taxon.
Holotype: STM 35-3
Locality: Dawangzhangzi, Lingyuan, Western Lioning Province, China.
Horizon: Yixian Formation.
