Etymology: In honor of Huchzermeyer's journey bird is in honor of the late archosaur
biologist, Dr. Fritz Huchzermeyer, and his endless quest for knowledge.
Holotype: IVPP V18958
Locality: Sihedang Locality, near Lingyuan, western Liaoning Province, China.
Horizon: Yixian Formation.
Biostratigraphy:
Age: Aptian Stage, Middle Gallic Subepoch, Upper Early Cretaceous Epoch, Early Cretaceous.
