Etymology: In refernce to Nogoon Tsav Locality, Bayankhongor Aimag, Southern Mongolia, where the specimen was found.

Holotype: PO 3389

Locality: Nogoon Tsav Locality, western area of the Trans-Altai Gobi, Bayankhongor Aimag, Southern Mongolia.

Horizon: Nemegt Formation (originally listed as Middle or upper part of the Bostobe Formation).

Biostratigraphy:

Age: Early Maastrichtian Stage, Late Senonian Subepoch, Early Gulf Epoch, Late Cretaceous (originally listed as Upper Santonian-Lower Campanian, Middle or Upper Senonian Subepoch, Gulf Epoch, Late Cretaceous).

Material: Trunk vertebrae.
