Etymology: Berivotra, referring to the village of Berivotra, Mahajanga Basin, Mahajanga Province, Madagascar.

Holotype: Universite d’Antananarivo (UA) 8651

Locality: MAD 93-18, Near the village of Berivotra, Mahajanga Basin, Mahajanga Province, Madagascar.

Horizon: Maevarano Formation.

Biostratigraphy:

Age: Campanian Stage, Senonian Subepoch, Gulf Epoch, Late Cretaceous.

Material: Distal left tibiotarsus in articulation with a complete tarsometatarsus.

Referred material:

FMNH PA 715: Complete right tibiotarsus and fibula and associated right femoral head.
