Etymology: “Dzhyra Bird” from the Dzhyra-Kuduk water well, Uzbekistan, where the fossil was found, and Greek, ornis, ‘bird’.

Etymology: In honor of Russian/Soviet zoologist and ecologist Professor Daniil Nikolaevich Kashkarov (1878–1941).

Locality: Locality CBI-4, Dzhyrakuk, Kizylkum Desert, Navoi District, Bukhara Region, Uzbekistan.
