Etymology: Greek, adelo, "unknown," and Greek, lophus (latinized from the Greek lophos), "crest"; in reference to unknown morphlogy of the skull and rest of this taxon.

Species: hutchisoni GATES, JINNAH, LEVITT, & GETTY, 2014
Etymology: In honor of Dr. Howard Hutchison, discoverer of the type specimen and longtime proponent of southern Utah vertebrate paleontology.

Holotype: UCMP 152028

Locality: Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument, Garfield County, Utah.

Horizon: ?Upper Member, Wahweap Formation.

Biostratigraphy:

Age: Lower-Middle Campanian Stage, Senonian subepoch, Gulf Epoch, Late Cretaceous.

Material: A partial maxilla.
