Etymology: In reference to the Bain-Dzak locality, Ömnögov (South Gobi), Mongolia and and Greek, ceratops, “horn face.”

Species: efremovi TERESCHENKO & ALIFANOV, 2003
Etymology: In honor of the paleontologist Ivan A. Efremov.

Holotype: PIN 614-33

Locality: Bayan Zag (= Bayn Dzak, Shabarakh Usu GILMORE, 1943), Ömnögov (South Gobi), Mongolia.

Horizon: Djadochta Formation.


Age: Middle Campanian Stage, Senonian Subepoch, Gulf Epoch, Late Cretaceous.

Material: Cervical 6, 7, and 9, thoric ?1, ?5-7, 9-13, sacral 8, and caudal 102, ?10-11, and ?18-19 vertebrae.
