Genus: Gongshuilong YAO, QIU, YU, YANG, WANG, CAO, ZHAO, XU, SHI, LOU, ZENG, LU, WU, XU, HAN & XING, 2026
Etymology: 'Gongshu', pinyin of the Mandrain Chinese term meaing the Gong River, which is quite close to the fossil locality and Mandarian Chinese, long, "Dragon".

Etymology: Mandarin Chinese,fanwei, this denotes teh sail-like tail largely attributed to the extremely elongate, cured neural spine alonf teh posterior caudal vertebrae.
Holotype: BS-JX F001-1
Locality: A quarry during the construction of the East China International Trace and Industral Zone, Zhpohutongkeng locality, Shahe Town, Zhanggong District, Gonzhou City, Jiangxi Province, and ~ 2km south-east of the railway station, China.
Horizon: Lianhe Formation.
Biostratigraphy:
Age: Middle Maastratichian Stage, Senonian Subepoch, Gulf Epoch, Late Cretaceous.
Material:A nearly complete right dentary.
