Etymology: In reference to the country of its origin, Korea, and Greek, sauros, "lizard": Korean lizard.

Species: boseongensis HUH, LEE, KIM, LIM & GODEFROIT, 2010
Etymology: In reference to Boseong County, Chollanam-do Province, Republic of South Korea, where the holotype and paratype were discovered.

Holotype: KDRC-BB2

Locality: Southern coast of Seonso Village, Boseong County, Chollanam-do Province, Republic of South Korea.

Horizon: Senso Conglomerate.

Biostratigraphy:

Age: Santonian-Campanian Stage, Senoniain Subepoch, Gulf Epoch, Late Cretaceous.

Material: 5 cervical vertebrae, 7 dorsal vertebrae, 17 dorsal ribs, teh nearly complete right and left scapulae, the coracoids, the sternals, the proximal part of the left humerus, the incmplete right humerus, and the proxima part of the left ulna and radius.

Paratype:

KDRC-BB3: Incomplete sacrum, a partial left ilium and ischium, teh complete left femur tibia, fibula, and the incomplete left tarsus and metarsus.

Referred mtaerial:

Locality: Site 3, Seonso Village, Boseong County, Chollanam-do Province, Republic of South Korea.

Horizon: Senso Conglomerate.
