Etymology: In reference to Nayang, southeastern Henan Province, China and Greek, sauros, "lizard" : Nayang lizard.

Etymology: In honor of Zhuge Liang, the famous ancient strategist and politician, who lived in Nanyang for a long time.

Holotype: IVPP V 11821

Locality: Xiaguan, Neixiang County, Nanyang Basin, southeastern Henan Province, China.

Horizon: Sangping Formation.

Biostratigraphy:

Age: Early Cretaceous.

Material: A partial skeleton including few dorsals, complete sacrum, most caudals, a partial ischium, nearly complete fore and hind limbs.
Note: Found with nests and eggs.
