Species: zhugeii XU, ZHAO, LU, HUANG, LI & DONG, 2000
Etymology: In honor of Zhuge Liang, the famous ancient strategist and politician,
who lived in Nanyang for a long time.
Holotype: IVPP V 11821
Locality: Xiaguan, Neixiang County, Nanyang Basin, southeastern Henan Province, China.
Horizon: Sangping Formation.
Biostratigraphy:
Age: Early Cretaceous.
Material: A partial skeleton including few dorsals, complete sacrum, most
caudals, a partial ischium, nearly complete fore and hind limbs.
Note: Found with nests and eggs.
