Etymology: Latin, olor, "swan," and Greek, titan, mythological Greek giant: Giantic swan.

Species: arharensis GODEFROIT, BOLOTSKY & ALIFANOV, 2003
Etymology: In reference to Arhara County, Amur Province, Sichote Alin, Far Eastern Russia where the holotype was discovered.

Holotype: AEHM 2/845

Locality: Khundur, Arhara County, N49°04'57.5", E130°51'34.1, Amur Province, Sichote Alin, Far Eastern Russia.

Horizon: Top of basal part or middle part of Tsagayan Formation.

Biostratigraphy: Wodehouseia spinata – Aquilapollenites subtiles Palynozone.

Age: ‘Middle’ or Late Maastrichtian Stage, Uppermost Senonian, Uppermost Gulf Epoch, Late Cretaceous.

Material: An articulated, but incomplete adult skeleton including the skull and most of the postcranium, with the excpetion of several dorsal vertebrae, ribs, proximal haemapophyses, right humerus, right manus, left antebrachium, pubes, right hindlimb, and left pes. Note with pathologies; 'proximal thired of tail, wouding to proximal, medial and extrem distal caudals evident, (GODEFROIT, BOLOTSKY & BOLOTSKY, 2012).
