Genus: Sinocephale EVANS, BROWN, YOU & CAMPIONE, 2021
Etymology: The generic name refers to the People's Republic of China, where the tholotype was originally collected, Greek, cephale, "head", a common suffix for generic names of pachycephalosaurid dinosaurs.

Etymology: In honor of Gerhard Bexell, who discovered the holoytpe spcimen.

Locality: Tsondolein-Khuduk, Ordos (Shaan-Gan-Ning) Basin, Inner Mongolia (Nei Mongolia), China.

Horizon: Ulansuhai Formation (Tsondolein Khuduk Beds), Zhidan Group.

Biostratigraphy:

Age: Turonian Stage, late Gallic Subepoch, early Gulf Epoch, Middle Cretaceous.

Material: Fragmentary parietal.
