Genus: Zuoyunlong WANG, WANG, XU, YI, XIE, JIA, & XING, 2015
Etymology: In reference to Zuoyun County, Shanxi Province, People's Republic of China, where the current specimens are recovered, and Mandarin Chinese, long, 'dragon'.

Species: huangi WANG, WANG, XU, YI, XIE, JIA, & XING, 2015
Etymology: In honor of Mr. Huang, Wei-Long, who excavated the fist dinosaurs in Zuoyun County, adn even Shanxi Province in 1957. These dinosaurs have been studie by Young, (1958).

Holotype: SXMG V 00004

Locality: Datong City, in the vicinity of Zuoyun County, Shanxi Province, People's Republic of China.

Horizon: Zhumapu Formation.

Biostratigraphy:

Age: Cenomanian Stage, Middle Gallic Subepoch, Lower Gulf Epoch, Late Cretaceous.

Material: Nealry complete right lium missing most of the preacetabular process (field number ZY004-001), and teh disal end of the right ischium (field number ZY004-002).
