Etymology: In referance to Angola where the specimen was found and Greek, titan, an offspring of Uranus and Gaea, symbolic of brute strength and large size

Etymology: Adamastor was a mythological sea giant from the South Atlantic feared by the Portuguese sailors.

Holotype: MGUAN-PA3

Locality: Tadi, near Iembe, Tabi community, municipality of Ambriz, Bengo Province, Angola.
Note: Marine deposit.

Horizon: Tadi Beds, Itombe Formation.

Biostratigraphy:

Age: Late Turonian Stage, Uppermost Gallic Subepoch, Lower Gulf Epoch, Late Cretaceous.

Material: Right scapula, right humerus, right ulna, right radius and right metacarpals I, III, and IV.
