Etymology: Greek, skolos, “spine, thorn”, and Greek, sauros, “lizard”: “thorn
lizard”.

Etymology: In honor of William Edmund Cutler, who found the specimen.

Locality: Quarry 080, Happy Jack Ferry, Dead Lodge Canyon, Newell County, Alberta Province, Canada.
Horizon: Dinosaur Park Formation, upper Judith River Group.
Biostratigraphy:
Age: Judithian age, Middle Campanian Stage, middle Senonian subepoch, upper Gulf Epoch, Late Cretaceous.
Material: Nearly entire skeleton missing skull and tip of tail.

Species: thronus PENKALSKI, 2018
Etymology: Latin, thronus (n.), "an elevated seat or throne," in reerence to its high stratigraphic position within the Dinosaur Park Formation and to the location of the quarry up the face of a butte.
Holotype: ROM 1930 (including CMN 842)
Locality: Quarry no. 112, 2.4 miles east north east of Happy Jack's Ferry, Red Deer River, Newell County, Alberta Province, Canada.
Horizon: Upper Dinosaur Park Formation, upper Judith River Group, 40 m above the Dinosaur Park Formation/Oldman Formation.
Biostratigraphy:
Age: Judithian age, Middle Campanian Stage, middle Senonian subepoch, upper Gulf Epoch, Late Cretaceous.
Material: Skull, vertebrae, ilium, scapula and humerus.
Note: Chevron with pathology, largest free caudal vertebrae is missing the haemal arch and both transverse processes which has an abnormal swelling of bone, the last free has a pathology. (ARBOUR & CURRIE, 2011)
