Etymology: From Mongolian, tarchi, “brain” + ia: “Brainy one”.

Etymology: In honor of Prof. Zofia Kielan-Jaworowska in recognition of her work
on Mongolian vertebrates.
Holotype: ZPAL MgDI/111
Locality: Khulsan, Nemegt basin, Ömnögov (South Gobi), Mongolia.
Horizon: Barun Goyot Formation.
Biostratigraphy:
Age: Middle –Late Campanian Stage, Senonian Subepoch, Gulf Epoch, Late Cretaceous.
Material: Fragmentary skull with skull roof, occipital part and brain case.
Note: Paleopathology? Skull roof has a ‘D’-shaped hole possible
from a Tarbosaurus (TUMANOVA, GALLAGHER, DODSON & AXLE, 1998)

Etymology: In honor of Teresa Maryanska in recognition of her work on Asian dinosaurs.

Locality: Nemget, Nemegt basin, Ömnögov (South Gobi), Mongolia.
Horizon: Nemegt Formation.
Biostratigraphy:
Age: Lower Maastrichtian Stage, Uppermost Senonian, Uppermost Gulf Epoch, Late Cretaceous.
Material: Skull, and dentary, cervical vertebrae, scapula, sacrum, ischia, femur, ribs and spines.
