Holotype:

Locality: Dalton Wells Quarry, BYU 7510, North of Arches National Park boundary 3.22 km. 1.2 km east of Dalton Well south of U. S. 160 in section 22, T24S, R20E, Grand County, Southeastern Utah.

Horizon: Higher in the Yellow Cat Member, Cedar Mountain Formation.

Biostratigraphy:

Age: Buffalogapian age, Barremian Stage, Lower Gallic Subepoch, Early Cretaceous Epoch, Early Cretaceous.
