Etymology: In reference to Brazil, the country of origin, and Greek, Titan, "race of ancient giant."

Etymology: Greek, nemos, "pasture, wood" and Greek, phagos, "to eat": in allustion to the herbivorous nature of this species.

Holotype: UFRG MN 7371-V

Locality: At the kilometer 571 (22°07'04S, 51°26'33W), of the Raposo Tavares state road (SP0270), near Presidente Prudente City, Sao Paulo State, Brazil.

Horizon: Adamantina Formation.

Biostratigraphy:

Turonian Stage, Uppermost Gallic Subepoch-Santonian Stage, Lower Senonian Subepoch, Lower Gulf Epoch, Late Cretaceous or Campanian-Maasrichtian Stage, Upper Senonian Subepoch, Late Gulf Epoch, Late Cretaceous.

Material: Right dentary, 2 cervical, 3 incomplete sacral vertebrae, fragment of an ilium, fragments of an ischium, 1 ungual and fragmentary elements.
