DINO 28: Disarticulated skull.
MADSEN, McINTOSH, & BERMAN, 1995
DNM 28: Greater part of a disarticulated skull and mandibles lacking the left lachrymal, palatines, vomers, and all medial elements of the mandibles except the left prearticular.
DNM 975: the “cliff skull” has been left in place on the quarry face, with the right side prepared in relief. All the external elements of the right side are articulated except the quadratojugal, which has been displaced ventrally, and the quadrate, which has not been found. The posterior and dorsal surfaces of the skull are exposed, showing the supraocciptial, exoccipitals, opisthotics, basiocipital, left quadrate, left quadratogual, parietals, frontals and nasals, in position. Many of the bones of the palate are missing , and those present have been more or less displaced. The right pterygoid and ectopterygoid have been displaced ventrally over the medial surface and the left mandible. The left pterygoid and right palatine have been removed and prepared. The articulated dentary, angular, and surangular of the right mandible, as well as the disarticulated right prearticular, angular and splenial have also been removed from the quarry and fully prepared.
Camarasaurus lentus (after MADSEN, McINTOSH & BERMAN, 1995), DINO 975.
DNM 1009: Probably includes the greater part of the skull that is exposed on the quarry face and referred to as the “hump skull.” Some elements displaced by compression against lower end of a right sauropod femur and probably lost. Exposed elements include the left articular, left prearticular, left angular, left surangular, left quadrate, left pteryoid, left ectopterygoid, right squamosal, right opisthotic, right prootic, right laterosphenoid, right pterygoid, supraocciptial, and right parietal.

Preserved are the skull and mandible, cervical vertebrae 1-8, dorsal neural arches 6-12, most of the dorsal ribs, the articulated sacrum lacking centra, a nearly complete set of caudal vertebrae lacking only the centra of numbers 1 and 2, 18 chevrons, part of the right scapula, left coracoid, left humerus and fragments of the right, partial left ulna, partial left manus, right ilium, pubes, ischia and nearly complete right hind limb and pes, head of left femur and part of left pes.
Note: Caudals 25, 26, 32, 33, 39, 40, 43, 46, 47, and possibly 50-53, are pathologic. Metatarsal II has a stress fracture (ROTHSCHILD & MOLNAR, 2005)
