Etymology: “Gobi” is the geographical region in Mongolia and Inner Mogolia where diverse Late Mesozoic dinosaurs have been found, “Titan” refers to Greek mythological giants, symboloic of great size.

Species: shenzhouensis YOU, TANG & LUO, 2003
Etymology: ‘Shenzhou” is an ancient name of China.

Holotype: IVPP 12579

Locality: Gongpoquan Basin, Mazongshan area, Gansu (Kansu) Province, China.

Horixon: Middle Gray Unit, Xinminbao Group.

Biostratigraphy:

Age: Albian Stage, Middle Gallic Subepoch, Upper Early Cretaceous Epoch, Early Cretaceous.

Material: An articulated series of 41 middle and distal caudals, and left hind limb.
