Etymology: Latin, Histria, "for Istria," and Greek, sauros, “lizard.”

Species: boscarollii DALLA VECCHIA, 1999
Etymology: In reference to the site where the specimen was found.

Holotype: WN-V6

Locality: Kolone locality near Bale/Valle village, south of Rovinja, southwest Istria (Croatia).
Note: Found either on the shore or on the ocean bottom.
