Genus: Isisaurus WILSON & UPCHURCH, 2003
Etymology: ISI, honoring the Indian Statistical Institute (ISI), which houses India’s foremost collection of Mesozoic fossil vertebrates and whose scholars discovered and described the holotype skeleton, and Greek, sauros, "lizard."
