Genus: Mansourasaurus SALLAM, GORSCAK, O’CONNOR, EL-DAWOUDI, EL-SAYED, SABER, KORA, SERTICH, SEIFFERT & LAMMANA, 2018
Etymology: "Mansoura," is for Mansoura University in Mansoura, Egypt, home institution of the research collaborative that undertook the field laboratory work, and Greek, sauros, "lizard."

Etymology: In honor of M. Shahin for her contributions to the foundation of the Mansoura University Vertebrate Paleontology Center (MUVP).

Holotype: MUVP 200

Locality: North of the road between Mut and Balat, Dakhla Oasis, Western Desert of Egypt.

Horizon: Upper Member, Quseir Formation.

Biostratigraphy:

Age: Campanian Stage, Senonian Subepoch, Gulf Epoch, Late Cretaceous.

Material: An associated partial skeleton consisting of cranial fragments, dentaries, cervical and dorsal vertebre and associated ribs scapulocaracoid, sternal plate, humeri, radius, metacarpal III, metatarsals, I, III and IV or IV, probable poartial osteoderms and several unidentified fragments.
