Genus: Ninjatitan GALLINA, CANALE & CARBALLIDO, 2021
Etymology: In honor of Argentine vertebrate paleontologist Sebastian "Ninja" Apesteguia, who led the first investigations in the Bajada Colorada Formation from 2010 to 2014 and generously encourged PAG and JIC to continue leading the project since that time. His contributions to sauropods and other Mesozoic vertebrates, countless talks on dinosaur evolution, and especially a long friendship with the authors are also recognized here, and Greek, titan, from the giants of Greek Myths.

Species: zapatai GALLINA, CANALE & CARBALLIDO, 2021
Etymology: In honor of Mr. Rogelio "Mupi" Zapata, in recognition for his work as a technician of the Museo municipal Ernesto Bachman (since its foundation), with several field trips performed, and valuable remains discovered, prepared, and exhibited in this institution and others. In his name, the work of the tehnician team of this Museum is also acknowledged.

Locality: Bajada Colorada locality, 40 km south of Picun Leufu Town on the National Route 237, Neuquen Province, Argentina.

Horizon: Bajada Colorada Formation.

Biostratigraphy:

Age: Late Berriasian-Valanginian Stage, Early-Middle Neocomian Subepoch, Early Early Cretaceous Epoch, Early Cretaceous.

Material: Incomplete anterior-middle dorsal vertebra, a middle dorsal centrum, and anterior caudal centra with the base of neural arches preserved, a complete left scapula, a fragmentary distal femur, and a nearly complete left fibula.
