Etymology: In honor of the geologist Francisco E. Nullo, discoverier of the holotype, and Greek, titan, "powerful giant."

Etymology: In reference to the majestic Perito Moreno Glacier, observable from the excavation site.

Locality: Nullo Site (locality 1), about 30 km to the SW of the town of El Calafate, Austral Basin, Santa Cruz Province, Argentina.

Horizon: Chorrillo Formation.

Biostratigraphy:

Age: Late Campanian-Early Maastrichtian Stage, Upper Senonian Sub-epoch, Upper Gulf Epoch, Late Cretaceous.

Material: Fragmentry cervical rib shaft, dorsal rib shaft fragmetns, several caudal vertebrae, fragmentary left scapula, proximal and distal ends of right femur, almost complete right tibia, fibula and astragalus.

Referred material:

MPM 21546: Isolated and partially presrved distal caudal centra.

 

Locality: 100 meters from Nullo Site (locality 1), about 30 km to the SW of the town of El Calafate, Austral Basin, Santa Cruz Province, Argentina.

Horizon: Chorrillo Formation.

MPM 21545: Complete humerus, lacking cortex of mid shaft, partial rib, and vertebrae.

 

Locality: Titanosaur tibia Site (locality 2), about 30 km to the SW of the town of El Calafate, Austral Basin, Santa Cruz Province, Argentina.
