Genus: Paralititan SMITH, LAMANNA, LACOVARA, DODSON, SMITH, POOLE, GIEGENGACK & ATTIA, 2001
Etymology: Greek, paralos, "near the sea" (paralic referes to the tidal environments), and Greek, titan, an offspring of Uranus and Gaea, symbolic of brute strength and large size (effectively, “tidal giant”).

Etymology: In honor of Ernst Stromer.

Holotype: Egyptian Geological Museum, CGM 81119

Locality: BDP 2000-18, near Gebel Fagga, 28°20’10.7”N, 28°59’04.7”E, Bahariya Oasis, Egypt.

Horizon: Bahariya Formation.

Biostratigraphy:

Age: Cenomanian Stage, Uppermiddle Gallic Subepoch, Lowermost Gulf Epoch, Middle Cretaceous.

Material: 2 fused caudal sacral vertebrae, probably 5 and 6, first caudal vertebra, proximal caudal vertebra, dorsal and sacral ribs, incomplete scapulae, complete right and incomplete left humeri, distal metacarpal and several additional elements.
