Etymology: Plateosaurus and Latin, avus “ancestor, grandfather”: “Plateosaurus ancestor”.

Species: cullingworthi (HAUGHTON, 1924) HUENE, 1932
Etymology: In honor of Mr. C. W. Cullingworth to whose energy some of the finds are due.
