Genus: Uriash DIEZ DIAZ, MANNION, CSIKI-SAVA & UPCHURCH, 2025
Etymology: Romanian, urias, "gigantic humanoid fairy-tale characters in Romanian folk-lore (see also the Hungarian term 'orias')", but also generally, to something or someone colossal, gigantic. It alludes to the large body size of this titanosaur taxon, significantly larger than the other Transylvanian taxa.

Species: kadici DIEZ DIAZ, MANNION, CSIKI-SAVA & UPCHURCH, 2025
Etymology: In honor of Ottokar Kadic (1876-1957), geologist adn paleontologist of the Royal Geologicla Survey of hungary and discoverer of several continental vertebrate-bearing fossil localities in the north-western Hateg Basin, including the type locality of Uriash, between 1909 and 1915.

Holotype: SZTFH Ob.3090B, D. G, H, Ob.3104, Ob.3103, Ob.3095

Locality: Locality VI of Kadic (1916), Budurone Ravine (Paraul Budurone), south-east of Valioara locality, north-western Hateg Basin, Hunedora County, Romania.

Horizon: Lower part of the unnamed middle member, Densus-Ciula Formation.

Biostratigraphy:

Age: Late Maastrichtian Stage, Uppermost Senonian Subepoch, Uppermost Gulf Epoch, Late Cretaceous.

Material:

SZTFH Ob.3090B, D. G, H: 4 posterior-distal cuadal vertebrae.
Note: Originaly 8 were collected but 4 are missing.

SZTFH Ob.3103; Incomplete right femur and 1 small fragment (region of the fourth trocanter) of the left femur.

SZTFH Ob.3104: Incomplete right humerus.
