Etymology: In reference to the town of Winton, Queensland State, Australia and Greek, Titan, a giant in Greek mythology.

Etymology: In honor of Keith Watts, who discovered the type specimen and donated it to the Queensland Museum in 1974.

Locality: QML 313 "Triangle Paddock", Elderslie Station, in triangle paddock near the woolshed, 1/2 km southwest of Top Horse Bore, about 4 km north-northeast of Elderslie homestead, 60 km northwest of Winton, Queensland State, Australia.

Horizon: Winton Formation.

Biostratigraphy:

Age: Latest Albian Stage, Middle Gallic Subepoch, Early Cretaceous Epoch, Early Cretaceous.

Material: Left scapula, partial left and right humeri, partial left and right ulnae, partial right and near complete left radii, near complete right metacarpus preserving complete metacarpals II-V with proximal half of metacarpal I, fragmentary dorsal and sacral vertebrae and ribs, partial right ilium, right ischium, caudal vertebral series including anterior caudals, middle caudals, posterior caudals and proximal cheverons, numerus additional unidentifed or unregonsized bone fragments.
