Etymology: In reference to Xixipo, a village in Lufeng County, China and Greek, sauros, "lizard."

Etymology: In honor of Professor Sun Gee of Jilin University, China.

Holotype: ZLJ01018

Locality: Xixipo, Lufeng County, Yunnan Province, China.

Horizon: Lower Lufeng Formation.


Age: Early Jurassic.

Material: Skull and dentary, 8 cervical, 12 dorsal and 5 articulated caudals vertebrae, middle part of right scapoula, ventral 1/5th of the coracoid, right humerus, distal 1/3 of left humerus, left ulna and radius, right ilium, pubis, ischium, right femur, right tibia, right fibula, astragalus and distal tarsals.
