Etymology: For Ada, an evil spirit in Mongolian mythology, and Greek, sauros, "lizard": Ada’s lizard.

Species: mongoliensis BARSBOLD, 1983
Etymology: In reference to Mongolia, where the specimen was discovered.

Holotype: GI No. SPS 100/20

Locality: Bügiin (Bugeen) Tsav, Nomingiin Gobi Desert, Bayankhongor Province, Mongolia.

Horizon: Upper Nemegt Formation.

Biostratigraphy: Tarbosaurus bataar and Saurolophus angusitrostris Zone.

Age: Lower Maastrichtian Stage, Uppermost Senonian, Uppermost Gulf Epoch, Late Cretaceous.

Material: Fragmentary skull and fragmentary skeleton.
